If you missed our recent Version 7 Release Webinar, not to worry: we’ve gathered the essential highlights. Here are the top 7 most exciting enhancements coming in One Church Software Version 7, our biggest and best release yet.

1. A Data-Powered Home Screen
In v7, you won’t even need to leave your home screen to find relevant, actionable information. What was left to searching and scrolling in previous versions is now right at your fingertips: all the essential data you need to serve, connect, and participate.
Customizable Widgets & Dashboards
The new Homepage Widgets transform your homepage into a data-rich dashboard—no report generation or manual refreshing needed. From financials and giving health to groups and service attendance, simply add, edit, and arrange widgets with the information you care about most, and watch your dashboard come to life:

Language Options
We’re excited to offer the first iteration of language options on One Church. Version 7 offers English, Spanish, and Korean to start, with more to be added in future versions. Simply head to your user settings in the top-right corner to update the language of any default system text.
All-In Search
Introducing All-In Search: letting you find anything in seconds from the top of any page. Simply select a search category, like contacts or forms, and our system will give you a summarized and detailed list with the best possible results:

2. More Seamless Public Portals

Public portals now have their own home, so you can manage all public-facing information from one place. Simply click the cog icon in the top-right of the One Church window and head to Public Access to:
- Enable or disable your public portal with an easy on-off toggle
- Add and modify event info, photos, groups, forms, sermons, and more for enabled public portals and mobile apps
- Modify public visibility to control what information your community sees
The public-facing view is also more cohesive and modern to enhance your community’s experience. Church members will navigate sections with more ease and clarity, and when they’re ready to donate, that experience has been simplified, too.
3. More Streamlined Communications
You’ll find all your communications under one roof in v7, so you’ll never have to hunt for a message again. At the top of any page, just select Messaging and Message History to reach the Messaging Center, where you’ll find all logs, scheduled messages, email templates, text keywords, delivery and opt outs, and more:

Email Sending
We made it easier to send emails with a more user-friendly experience. You can modify individual recipients, change the name of the sender, add and modify templates, add attachments, send test emails, and a lot more:

Email Templates
Now, along with graphical email templates, you can also create and save text email templates. Simply select a template from the list and the subject line and body will automatically populate in your draft.
4. Greater Financial Visibility
Financial management has never been easier than in Version 7. We worked hard to streamline all things financial to give you complete visibility over your contributions, transactions, batches, and giving.
Transactions
Organize and simplify your transaction data in the redesigned Transactions view. The customizable filters and columns let you control what data you see, while checkboxes on the left allow for individual or bulk actions at any time. You’ll also find a real-time Unmatched count to alert you of any transactions that need attention:

Batches
Head to Batches for an automatic count of batch transactions and a detailed list you can sort by date, designation, and more. In this and every data table in Version 7, the filters you apply stay put until you change or remove them—even if you close the window:

Adding Transactions
We streamlined data entry in the Add Transaction window to give you more options and more useful data. Now, you can attribute individuals or businesses to a transaction, see individual pledges, and denote an anonymous donation by simply leaving the Payee/Donor space blank:

Giving Portals
Under Contributions > Settings, you’ll find everything you need to manage as many giving portals as you’d like. Find at-a-glance information like designations, download QR codes, update notification messages, and modify information—all without going into merchant settings:

5. Better Forms
We made forms easier to build and use, whether you’re leading the congregation or signing up for your first volunteer event.
Form Search
We heard your feedback about it being tough to find forms in Version 6. So we’ve made sure all your forms are readily searchable and auto-tagged for quick reference. Simply search, scroll, and find forms affiliated with certain groups or events:

Form Building
The form builder got some major updates, too, making it clearer what information you can add and where. Just click the plus icon anywhere in the form to add a field from an extensive list of options—like Profile Custom Fields, which send information straight to an individual’s One Church profile. Then, a sticky Save button stays wherever you are to easily save your progress:

Form Tracking
The at-a-glance form view in v7 gives you more information without extra clutter. You’ll find a convenient green New tag on any new or updated forms, letting other users know something’s changed. You’ll also see the number of entries on a form and where it’s linked without having to sift through events or groups.
6. More Powerful Automations
Workflows and automations got a huge upgrade in version 7, and we can’t wait to see what you do with them. We’ve replaced Processes all together with Workflows to expand optionality for branching and building.
Workflow Functionality & Layout
The new Workflows builder is clearer, more powerful, and easier to use. The refreshed Task Library includes Triggers and all Version 6 options categorized more intuitively. Simply drag tasks around the flowchart, trigger Workflows on certain dates, and even add forms to Workflows:

Workflow Navigation
We’ve equipped the Workflows builder with extra tools to help you navigate what’s new. In the top right corner, expand your Workflow view to see the full picture, clean up task boxes with the magic wand, and hit the keyboard icon for quick tips and shortcuts.
And don’t worry: All your existing Workflows will transfer into the new v7 format when you migrate to v7, so you can get started right away without sacrificing functionality.
7. More Efficient Service Planning
Service Planning earned some power-ups in v7—all designed to reduce steps and save time.
Service Types
We brought Service Types to the forefront of the Service Planning module to help you take stock of recurring commitments and build on each experience. Simply click into any Service Type to view upcoming Plans of that type, then click into a Plan to view and modify:

Plan Builder
Featuring the same modernized design as the rest of v7, the refreshed Service Planning module gives you essential at-a-glance details to keep you organized. Easily view service elements by time, add new sections, and add songs to a full plan or an individual item:

Service Teams
Here’s where you can really save some time. In the Serving section, you’ll now find your own teams at the top of the Your Teams column—no more alphabetical scrolling. Even better, adding people under Schedule Actions automatically adds their name, position, and team to your plan if they’re assigned to a team in the system:

Bonus Enhancements
There’s plenty more to discover in Version 7. A few smaller improvements we’d be remiss not to mention:
Tables & Contacts
Tables across all sections are now more condensed and easier to navigate, especially in places with longer lists like Contacts. Check All on any table to run bulk actions, easily add or remove filters, and never lose your place again thanks to sticky headers that stay as you scroll:

Speaking of Contacts, we redesigned the individual detail screen to give you a better understanding of your community and their involvement. Easily view key information, important dates, and family relationships on one page. Dig into any individual’s financials, involvement, messages, history, and more to foster strong relationships with everyone in your church network:

Group Hierarchies
We took the Hierarchy View in the Groups section from linear to interconnected, so you can more clearly see how your groups connect and interact:

Calendar & Recurring Events
You asked, and we delivered: you can now modify individual instances of recurring events. Plus, the entire Events Calendar is easier to read, manage, share, and print:
